Ann T. O'Donnell papers, 1953-1965.

Correspondence, reports, handbooks, directories, photographs, digests, and other materials, chiefly relating to O'Donnell's work in the Washington House of Representatives, with the majority of her legislative files concerning the 1965 session with minor papers relating to her regional leadership and political activities reflecting her association with several young Democratic groups in King County. While she served on a variety of House committees during her three-plus sessions as legislator, the majority of the collection relates more specifically to her involvement with the House Labor and Industrial Insurance and House Ways and Means committees during the 1965 session which included issues such as employment security and unemployment benefits, industrial insurance benefits, and awards to disabled workers; with the materials of the Ways and Means Committee reflecting a biennium budget and include requests from various agencies for increased appropriations. Other subjects include redistricting and reapportionment, education, civil rights, the abolition of capital punishment, and O'Donnell's activities with the House Democratic Caucus.
